City bus driver George Severino struck and killed 14-year-old Jasmine Paragas as she crossed the street on her way to school.
Jasmine Paragas an honor student at Francis Lewis High School in Queens, NY left her house early this morning with the mother. She kissed her mom goodbye then crossed the street to catch the Q88 when a NY City bus struck her.
Mr. Severino had three prior summonses, two for equipment failure and one for falling to yield to a pedestrian. DMV records shows that he was also involved in two accidents in the past three years.
Why was he allowed behind the wheel of a city bus?

It wasn’t a city bus. It was actually a yellow bus carrying adults. :/
